Experience an unforgettable autumn photography tour in the Lofoten Islands, where fiery red landscapes, crystal-clear fjords, rugged mountains, and the Aurora Borealis create the ultimate Arctic photography experience.Late September is the perfect time for Northern Lights photography as the nights grow longer and the skies more dramatic. Over the years, this period has never disappointed, delivering vibrant Auroras that illuminate the stunning autumn landscapes.

Highlights from our recent Lofoten photo tour:
- Spectacular Aurora: Shows of red, magenta, violet, and green over the Arctic sky.
- Autumn Colors: By midweek, the islands glow with deep oranges and reds, perfect for landscape photography.
- Cozy Red Cabins (Rorbuer): Traditional seaside cabins with fjord views, perfect for relaxing between shoots.
Our journey began with a late summer-like day: blue skies, shining sun, and the autumn colors still emerging. On the second day, we witnessed one of the most spectacular displays of the Aurora I’ve ever seen. That night, at Haukland Beach, we spent hours creating both vertical compositions, using water puddles, reflections, and the dramatic Mannen mountain in the background, as well as 360-degree panoramas capturing both the Milky Way and Northern Lights.
By the third day, autumn had fully taken over the landscapes. The daytime light created dramatic scenes, perfect for capturing stunning landscape photographs.
As with all GoToPhotoTour photography tours, we visited and photographed the very best locations across the Lofoten Islands, ensuring every participant could capture truly iconic Arctic images.
