Madeira Island which sits above the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, is one of those places that will leave you breathless. The fast passage of low clouds gives an ever-changing light on its astonishing and varied landscapes, creating dream situations for all landscape photographers.
During the day you can come across waterfalls nestled in the thick forest, unique trees with incredible shapes that seem to come to life, wild beaches full of stacks that stand out against the ocean, viewpoints dominated by mountains, ocean and flowers, and rugged mountain peaks reachable by fantastic and scenic hikes.
Madeira is absolutely one of those places to photograph!
