Meeting point: Keflavik airport not after 4pm on March 7th, 2025

Departure: On the 14th in the morning we will bring the group back to the same airport (Keflavik airport)

Note: the program may change depending on the weather. We are flexible and will adapt to any situation in order to give you the best possible experience.

Day 1 – Reykjanes

The meeting point will be at the airport, where you will find our private shuttle waiting for you. After a brief presentation on what we will be facing during the Icelandic adventure, we will reach our first hotel not far from Reykjavik. Relaxation, dinner and we will prepare for a possible night under the dance of the Northern Lights.

Day 2 – Seljalandsfoss, Gljufrabui, Skogafoss

Sunrise photo session at a spot near our hotel, where ocean waves hurl themselves against the stacks-filled coastline.

After breakfast we will check out to reach our next hotel, driving east along the famous Ring Road

In the afternoon we will explore the area’s most beautiful waterfalls and reach rivers that drone owners will enjoy capturing from above.

After dinner we will be ready for the Northern Lights above Skogafoss!

Day 3 – Kvernufoss, Diamond Beach, Vestrahorn

After the sunrise in front of another majestic waterfall, we will transfer to the next hotel. During the 3-hour or so drive we will stop to photograph many fantastic spots, after which we will reach the village of Hofn where we will spend the next 2 nights.

We’ll enjoy the Sunset in front of the majestic Vestrahorn where we will also return after dinner for the night photo session.

Day 4 – Höfn, Stokksnes, Hvalnes, Skútafoss

Today we will spend the day in the most beautiful spots in the southeastern part of Iceland, including seascapes, waterfalls, lighthouses and rough mountains.

In the afternoon we will have our first editing lesson in front of the computer.

After dinner we will reach the best spot hunting the Northern Lights.

Day 5 – Vatnajökull National Park, Ice cave, Jökulsárlón, Fjallárlon glacier lagoon

It’s ice cave day on Europe’s largest glacier! We will leave by super jeep and in about 30 minutes of driving we will reach the glacier from where our hike will start to reach ice tunnels, moulins, one of the most beautiful and crystal blue ice caves and other ice features.

We will continue the day photographing some lesser known spots and other glacier lagoons such as Fjallárlon glacier lagoon and Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. We will end our day at the famous Diamond Beach with its black sand and blue icebergs.

Day 6 – Vik village, Reynisfjara beach, Dyrhóleay

This day we will explore and photograph the southernmost point of Iceland, the Vik area, the mystical Reynisfjara beach, Dyrhóleay and various stacks and caves that can be found in this area. Then we will continue on to our next stop on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. If the Aurora Borealis forecast looks promising, we will capture it dancing over  Kirkjufell mountain.

Day 7 – Snæfellsnes, Kirkjufell, Arnarstapi, Gatklettur

We continue our Icelandic journey to discover the most beautiful places on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, including waterfalls, powerful seascapes and typical churches. During the afternoon we will have an editing session on the computer and then we will reach our last hotel near Reykjavik for our last dinner together.

Departures  – Keflavik airport

Additional information

  • Max group size of 6 participants, allowing for plenty of 1-to-1 time.
  • We will stay in good hotels with private double rooms and private bathrooms (single room available by paying supplement)
  • We will change 6 hotels in strategic locations to optimize driving hours, time and photographic schedule.
  • Our ice cave adventure is not the classic one at the first super-crowded cave but, we will reach a deeper cave and photograph various ice features while hiking on the glacier. The adventure takes 5/6 hours in total.
  • Iceland is amazing from the ground, but it’s just as amazing from the air. If you have a drone for you are welcome to bring it.
  • During the week we will do more editing sessions in front of the computer, analyzing and editing the shots obtained, from the raw files to the web files. Where we will see how to manage all the techniques studied in the field.
  • The edit sessions will be recorded and at the end we will send you the videos, so that you can review and study them calmly.
  • Based on the photographic program, we will then decide whether to eat at restaurants or grab something around and eat packed. We will definitely try both solutions.
  • The priority is photography, but there will be no shortage of moments of comfort and relaxation.
  • We highly recommend Travel Insurance to cover any non-refundable fees and airline travel you may have in connecting with the photographic tour.
  • Each day we will check the Northern Lights forecast and the latest weather. If conditions are favourable, we will be out looking for the Aurora Borealis.
  • Short and easy hiking is required to reach some locations. You have to bring micro-spikes / sport crampons.
  • High waterproof boots are strongly recommended, we will often enjoy photographing in contact with water.

Refund and cancellation policy

If a participant decides to cancel his reservation, he can do so at any time by communicating it as soon as possible to the official email address of one of the two organizers.

However, you should keep in mind that the cancellation by a participant would create management difficulties in bookings as well as the risk of not reaching the minimum number of participants for the trip (and consequently the need to search for a new person).

Because of that:

  • If the cancellation request is submitted MORE than 60 days (before departure), you may receive a refund of the booking fee.
  • If the cancellation request is presented LESS than 60 days before departure, it will NOT be possible to receive a refund of the booking fee.

* Unless the customer that desires to cancel his booking brings in another person who is willing to take his place by paying the total amount of the trip itself.

The entire amount paid (deposit or full fee) will be fully refunded if the event is canceled.
