Exploring Iceland in the winter can be a challenge, but Joaquin and Giulio were fantastic guides and made everything look easy! Ice caves, waterfalls, seascapes, glaciers, black sand beaches, sunsets/sunrises and of course, the northern lights, were all explored throughout our week-long tour. Accommodations were great, though we were barely there. Be prepared for anything: the cold, the unpredictable weather, the ice & snow, waterfall splashes, the long drives and the lack of restaurants along the routes. Consider the timing of when light conditions are best. Breakfast or sunrise? Dinner or sunset? Sleep or northern lights? Take these into account, and you’ll have an unforgettable adventure like we did!
